Welcome to the Panhandle Community Theatre

Welcome to the Panhandle Community Theatre!  We're excited about our new season and as our tag line - Image, Integrity and Artistic Growth - suggests, our vision is to grow artistically and develop a professional quality to our productions so that we may continue to provide all communities in the Florida panhandle a wide-range of quality theatre.

We invite you to grow with us regardless of your experience.  If you have a love of the performing arts and would like to be a part of PCT, we can find a place for you in our theatre family.  Come grow us!

2008 Promises to be an Exciting and Challeging Year

The Panhandle Community Theatre is proud of its 2008 schedule and optimistic this will be our best year ever!  We have five exciting shows planned which appeal to a wide variety of interests and tastes.  Our shows range from a timeless classic comedy, a side-splitting farcical comedy; a drama/thriller, an edgier, adult-themed drama to a season finale musical!

Last year's Children's Creative Drama Workshop was so popular that we've brought it back for a second summer.  This is a wonderful opportunity for children 9-14 to learn basic acting and stage skills.

Something new this year - we'll be participating in community events like the Riverwalk Arts & Culture Festival; Relay for Life; Scratchankle; 4th of July Celebration and other community sponsored events.  Please stop by, visit our booth and get to know us.  We'd love to talk to you and personally invite you to join our theatrical family.

Our silent auction was very successful last year, so stay tuned because we'll have an even bigger and better one later in the year.

Community theatre is comprised of folks from the local area who have a love for the performing arts.  Our goal is to continue to grow this coming year, both in terms of size as well as artistic ability and professional quality.  If you've ever thought about being involved in the theatre, but didn't know what you could offer, please call us.  We can find a place for you in our theatre family.

Come join us and be a part of our exciting year!

GET INVOLVED!

VOLUNTEERS WELCOME~

Community theatres are successful only because people care enough about the arts in their community to volunteer their time and talent to bring local productions to life.

Our goal is to grow in size as well as artistic ability.  Volunteers are the lifeblood of community theatre and there are many ways you can become involved and contribute.  Not only do we need actors, we need men and women of every age to work behind the scenes.  It takes many talented people to bring the performing arts to the local area.

If you've ever thought about being involved in local theatre, but weren't sure what you could contribute, we can find a place for you in our theatre family.  Contact Bob at 850-623-2073 or email goofytie@mchsi.com .

Tell us what you'd like to see

In January 2006, the Imogene Little Theatre became Panhandle Community Theatre.  The change came about because the group wanted its name to reflect a committment to providing theatre for all of the Florida Panhandle.

We would like to hear your suggestions for plays.  Our intention is to produce shows suitable for the entire family and some edgier works as well.  We will always inform the public as to the nature and subject matter of our productions.  We also plan to produce at least one original play per season.  We welcome submissions for consideration by our Director's Committee.

For more info email the PCT Board President at goofytie@mchsi.com
